This uses node-red (I know COBOL and such, and using ha / yaml gives me PTSD attacks).

It listens for fluctuations in the g's in these sensors, and after the time limit in the delay node, emits the HIGHEST reading * 1.25. I also sets a minimum of 15, and a max of 100. All of these are changeable in the function node.

I set it to run every now and then when I am not home to recalibrate.

Works like a charm.

As long at there are no fans, fans seem to be these things kryptonite.
