Segmentation fault when trying to run on MacOS

I downloaded the serve-d_0.8.0-beta.18-osx-arm64.tar.gz file from the Releases page and tried to run it on my Mac M1.
The result is:

[1]    3648 segmentation fault  ~/programming/apps/serve-d

I know that all programs compiled by DMD on Mac have this issue, currently. But compiling with LDC2 works fine.
Is it possible that you're compiling with DMD by default even for the Mac release?

DMD does not build for arm64. So it's likely built with an older version of LDC that does not have the fix.

I built it locally and now it at least starts.
However, when I try to do something, it asks me to download DCD. And then that fails with:

[eglot] Server reports (type=1):  Could not initialize DCD for /Users/renatoathaydes/programming/experiments/number-encoding/src/d.

I suspect it may be. the same issue when downloading DCD. Do I also need to build DCD?? How do I point to my local build so serve-d won't try to download that too?
