PowerSession crashes when recording Zellij

steps to replicate:

1. install zellij (https://zellij.dev/documentation/installation)
2. PowerSession.exe record crash.cast
3. zellij
4. open a new zellij pane (ctrl+p n)

i am doing this in WSL; i'm about to reinstall zellij for MSVC to see if it replicates there.
