how do i turn a Vec<u8> into a Lua String

i tried returning a Box, fails
i tried returning a Box<[u8]> failed
i have no ideas

(the reason why is because i need to read all the bytes in rust, then send them to lua)

how do i turn a Vec into a Lua String

let data: Vec<u8> = b"hello world".to_vec();
let lua_string = lua.create_string(&data)?;

is this what you meant?

Please make sure you have the following in cargo.toml:

[dependencies]
bstr = "0.2"

and BString is bstr::BString

i have bstr 1.2.0
I am using bstr::BString

bstr >=1.0 is currently supported only in the master branch. v0.8 requires 0.2.

okay so now it is erroring out somewhere in this function
