Clarification on page /volto/development/customizing-views.html

I could use some clarification on what layoutViews are and where I would access one like the SummaryView here. I see that this is unrelated to the summary variant for the listing block, and I see that it is set in config.views.layoutViews, but I don't know where those views are used. In classic UI this might be a display->view option for a Folder but as far as I can tell Volto doesn't have that concept.

I dug through some code and realized what was going on - it does have a similar View select, but only if there is more than layout option, as defined in the FTI. The most common place for this in classic is Folders, which do not exist here, and Document only has the document_view because you'd more likely use a listing block.

I think it would be helpful to have a note saying something like, first do:

• edit the FTI for Document so that summary_view is a layout option
• On a Document, change the view in the "more" toolbar option
• customize the view as outlined

Alternatively maybe don't use layout views for this and the creation example, if they are uncommon. Maybe using addonRoutes views is better?
