Supporting polyglot with custom release script (cucumber)

Hi there. I'm the maintainer of cucumber, specifically the ruby flavours. I was about to test this out for our internal compatibility kit tool and realised we wouldn't be able to use it

We currently use this: https://github.com/cucumber/action-publish-rubygem which also allows us to cd into the relevant directory first before running the release command
